講演内容 Raman spectroscopy has evolved into a versatile tool to characterize structural, electronic, and optical properties of graphene-based materials such as pristine graphene, graphene oxide (GO), and reduced graphene oxide (RGO).1) However, in contrast to pristine graphene, Raman spectral analysis of GO and RGO is challenging due to their complex lattice structure.2) Moreover, in most of the reported work, Raman spectra of GO and RGO are measured in their bulk state rather than for single or few-layers, which makes the analysis even more complicated. Generally, Raman spectra of pristine graphene is taken by depositing it on a substrate, particularly on a SiO2(300 nm)/Si substrate as it allows for a better optical visibility of graphene.3) Single or few-layers GO can also be deposited on SiO2(300 nm)/Si substrates by spin coating exfoliated GO dispersion, however, due the highly defected graphitic lattice and the large optical bandgap in GO, its optical visibility is reduced. Yet, after thermal reduction of GO, the visibility of GO can be attained because lattice defects are restored during the thermal treatment.2) Apart from the optical visibility, a strong dependence of the Raman spectroscopy of monolayer pristine graphene on the SiO2 layer thickness has been reported.4) Hence, in the present work, we study the effect of the substrate on Raman spectra of GO and RGO mono- and few-layer flakes, which is useful in interpreting the Raman spectra of these materials.
