研究概要

 Development of environment recognition is very important for implementing advanced driving assistant system including autonomous vehicle. Road detection is one of key researches for autonoumous vehicle implementation. We have been costructing a novel way based on the use of MRF and BP algorithm. A real-time detection of pedestrians and cars based on deformable object model is also designed. These detection results are combined in an experimental autonomous vehicle that was newly developed using small electric car. Moreover, we have developed a new path planning method that indicates the information of most crytical points. This vehicle can run autonomously on roads within our campus using the new path planning method with a given map and several land marks.
